I am here to put life's emotions into words. Our experiences, our stories, our pain - it matters. I hope through my words you will find your own voice and feel less alone.

The Foreword

I created this space as an outlet to document a very real human experience. The journey through life as a woman, mom, wife - it deserves to be documented and instead of letting the dust gather on my most private experiences in my journals, I felt a calling to share them.

Use this space in a way that resonates with you. If you feel it in your soul, keep it. If you feel like you can't relate, leave it. This is a place for you to absorb, observe, and ponder.

My heart is full of gratitude that you found your way here. May you be touched deeply in all the ways that matter.

Inspired by

There will always be people who can't see your worth, don't let one of those people be you.

It's no use going back to yesterday because I was a different person then

Personal Mottos

Aging is beautiful. Embrace it, celebrate it, and proudly declare your age.

Learn how to dress your body and ignore trends.

Allow yourself to cry. There doesn't always have to be a reason.

A fun pair of earrings is as vital as a supportive bra.

In no particular order

The words that follow "I am" are the most powerful.

Self awareness is the secret to everything.

If the sun is out, the hat is on.

The bravest thing you will ever do is break generational patterns.

It's not selfish to choose you.

Do the hard thing. It's important.

Notes from the cutting room floor

Picture those notes you secretly passed in high school english class. never boring, always discreet.

Never trust a mirror,
For a mirror always lies,
It makes you think that all you're worth,
Can be seen from the outside.
Never trust a mirror,
It only shows you what's skin deep,
You can't see how your eyelids flutter,
When you're drifting off to sleep,
It doesn't show you what the world sees,
When you're only being you,
Or how your eyes just light up,
When you're loving what you do.
It doesn't capture when you're smiling,
Where no one else can see,
And your reflection can not tell you,
Everything you mean to me.
Never trust a mirror,
For it only shows your skin,
And if you think that it dictates your worth,
It's time you looked within.
